I have been trying for two days to get my website updates finished. Every time I get started I either run into a snag, such as our web host changing the passwords. requiring a new setting for the FTP, or our ISP running on fumes. Our service has been so slow that I thought I might have a bug. Ran the mac scan, not one pesky demon in the whole system. So I am guessing that Time Warner decided to dial down the juice for the weekend. It wouldn’t be the first time. But all is fine today and I have the soivohle.com website pages uploaded with the new white background. I am in a lighter mood these days and wanted both our lzp website and the soivohle, to have similar looks. We will also tie in the website for the new brand later on, so it just makes sense to have some sort of cohesion to the company at large. For instance the new brand colors will be red box and frosted bottles, with a label designed from a photo I took of our Cherokee Chief Dogwood this year. It was a change of plan, but one that I am loving more each day. The backing will be white, with gray tones similar to the soivohle.com site as it looks now. Lighter is also the word of the day when it comes to scent choices. Our best sellers this spring have been by far the Moderne Florals. Moroccan Orange, Violets & Rainwater and Daybreak Violin. In the natural EDP’s the top sellers are Pink Praline, Blood Orange & Vetiver and Marcco. I am so happy to see Marcco getting a share of the love. I think with some of the scents it’s hard for people to wrap their head around the idea of them. Or not being familiar with some of the notes. For instance Calcutta is one of our best sellers in the boutique, but not so much on-line. People are not all that familiar with Pandanus and Indian Attars, so it is hard to get them to take a leap and give it a try. Perhaps I should not list the obscure and exotic notes as dominants, and just stick to the usual suspects when writing out descriptions for the website. But whatever it is, lighter seems to be the flavor of the day. I have not had a break since before sunrise this morning, so am going to have another tea and chill out for a few minutes. Will be fine tuning the website pages over the next days, but for now all seems to be working fine.
Peace & Blessings, ZZ…….
