Thanks to twitter, the PB news feed and various news sources, and a few emails I am up to date on what’s happening. I think.
Nathan Branch has posted a nice review of Solstice, as well as an article on bottle size. After my post yesterday on our switch from a 12ml to a 15ml, I am moving in the opposite direction of the downsize. The new 15ml just seems a better fit for us. The price will be the same, for now. So it is really a win win for our customers.
We will be making a change in how we do samples. But more on that later when I have it all figured out.
Thanks but no thanks, on the heads up. Laurice Rahme in Cincinnati on Friday. No I am not going down to the city to see her. Not because of any hard feelings, but simply because I am open on Friday for the holiday weekend. That is such old news anyway. But it did get a chuckle out of me. I wish her all the best and good luck with the Cincinnati crowd, they can be a tough sell. The truth is I am surprised that Sacks still has a store in downtown Cincinnati. Most of the high end retailers left downtown long ago in favor of the more lucrative areas like Kenwood and Montgomery. A real shame, but that’s what happens when the entire focus is on professional sports teams and keeping them happy.
Our new Petite Pots (florals) are doing quite well, and as I suspected some people like the softer more feminine approach to the packaging. If it keeps up we may just keep them around for awhile. Although I implemented the Raffia bow for spring, I will likely switch to a satin ribbon for the bottle and box if the set becomes permanent to the brand. After Mothers Day the outer gift box will be optional.
Peace & Blessings, ZZ……
