Quickie

I absolutely reek. Been mixing Genus Orchidaceae, and diluting an 8 oz bottle of Vanilla Absolute. Also finally this morning our new 15ml bottles arrived and I have been decanting the last of all the  Moderne perfumes to the new size. I usually keep an extra bit of perfume in each scent in case someone coming in to the boutique is gift shopping and wants a fancier bottle. We have several unique styles of bottle including my own one of a kind gilded stoppered glass bottles. I was all set to go with my gilded bottles for our natural collection until I saw that another perfumer was using a gilded bottle. Scents by Alexis I think. Hers are gorgeous too. I started making them years ago, when I discovered that you could buy variegated leaf. I must have covered a zillion things in that stuff. Including some of the sculptural pieces for my game board series.

So now with bottling up all of the perfume, I will need to batch out even more. I am finally getting around to the Vanillaville and Moroccan Orange today as well. I bottled the last of the Ginger Mead, and am wondering about this scent. It doesn’t do so well on-line. I don’t think that people can get a feel for it by the description, because in person everyone loves it. We have some press coming out  next month that may include this scent (among others) so I am not going to do anything just yet.

Over the next few days I will go ahead and add the 15ml  Moderne’s to the web store. At least in the scents that we have available. I am also making a label change. We are going to start listing a more detailed ingredients list on all of our perfumes, so as I add things back to the menu, the new label will reflect the additional information. Work, work, work. It never ends. But that’s just fine with me. Back to the dungeon.
